I have a really, really small bedroom at my parents house. I am a student and live in dorm, but i sometimes goes back to my parents house on the weekend. But when i’m home, i don’t feel cozy or good to be home, because my bedroom looks plain and boring. So i search the net for decorating ideas, and found fengshui topic’s really interesting. However, all the position shown for good fengshui cannot be done because of the lack of space in my bedroom.

I only have 1 window, 1 door, an air conditioner, a wardrope, no other furniture. I like brown color and i check the fengshui guide color for brown means wood, close to earth, and luckily all my furniture are made from wood with dark color brown. Even my window shades are color dark brown.

I was thinking to paint the wall at east side and west side with dark brown and the north side and south side with more lighter brown color (my current wall paint is white, all four side). What i want to ask is how to arrange my bed position and what other stuff to add into my bedroom.

Additional info, i rarely (very rare) open my windows, only tie the window shade to sides to let the lights to come in (and are seldom home to do it). I am only home to sleep peacefully and no strong lights that can disturb my sleep (let’s just say i am home to leave the stress at school.. xD) But my dad always open my bedroom door in the morning and close it in the night.

Hi Jcka,
I would suggest that you paint your room in a very soft green color. Benjamin Moore paints have a color named Peaceful jade. This color will blend nicely with your furniture. You might consider only painting your small room in one color. Ceiling in a soft shade of white. Choose side table lamps with white shades ( feng shui ). Feng Shui as you know has to do about balance and blending the four elements.
Windows should always be covered at night and opened during the day. This pertains to the balance of energies etc.Allowing negative enery to leave via open window.
Placement of furniture: Bed to be placed on a solid wall, feet never facing the door. 2 Side tables for balance.
Bedding: If you choose a soft green ( Peaceful Jade or even Zen another close shade ) you should consider a solid no print nor stripe Comforter. I would suggest that you choose an Ivory color in Natural cotton or Damask. For sheets I would choose a soft shade of light blue ( serenity ) These colors balance as well as provide a zen like atmosphere.
Accessories: add natural elements to the room like baskets bamboo etc. No feng shui table water fountains in bedroom.
Think in terms of Balance, the 4 Natural elements, soft colors, Lavender candles or scent bags, with this in mind you will easily pull together a restful retreat away from school. Theres my ideas for you, time for you to go relax :o) Happy Decorating.
