putting ornamental things aside what are the 3 most useful things from chinese martial arts for street fights (real fights)?

for example you might say: stretching, kicks, blocking.

i not sure i follow.
# things would be striking, grappling, and running from danger.
All kung fu is very useful the ones you see in the movies and on tv is similar to wushu and it is designed to look fancy and flashy. Being flashy kills.

What exactly do you mean by ornamental? CMA was created for real life self defense. All of it was. Stretching is a training exercise.

All of Chinese martial arts with the exception of sport Wushu, are useful in self defense. That is what they were created for.

I suggest we all ignore "Cody" as CMA has been employed on the battlefield for centuries, and contain some of the most fundamental techniques many other martial arts were inspired from.

Breathing, most people hold their breath.
Staying relaxed, most people tense up when fighting.
Keeping a cool head and staying in control so you can think clearly and react correctly, most people are emotional when fighting.
BTW all martial arts teach that.
