Like with the Unit in the Federal Government that is supposed to protect children from toxic toy’s acts as if a few sacrificed children are worth whatever money is saved by doing nothing to protect kids from Chinese imports painted with lead paint, for example!

Under the current corporate oligarchy, not much hapens to them. If there’s enough of a public outcry they’ll mark a scapegoat and sacrifice hir.

How so I fix mold on my jade plant?

On December 31, 2012, in Jade Store, by admin

I have an outdoor Jade plant, it is in partial sun. I live on the California coast and it does get cold and wet. My question is: I recently was watering them when I noticed what looks like mold on a branch that was broken a while back. Instead of callousing like the others that have broken it is kind of sunken in and there is a whitish gray fuzziness to it. I’m wondering if it has just been too foggy and the wetness is causing it or if im watering too often(once a week) or if it may be bug related.

You are watering it WAY too often and it needs to be in FULL sun, not part shade. Jades are succulents. They are part of the cacti family. They store water in their leaves and stems. The soil should be sandy or very light so that water can drain away. I have 3 jade plants that I started from cuttings from a very large plant that is at least 30 years old, at the college greenhouse I am going to school at. I don’t water them until the lowest leaves become slightly soft, telling me that they are using their own water stores to survive. Then I water thoroughly. It will take 3-4 weeks before I need to water again.

I need a nice and uncommon name for a baby boy. Maybe any of you answerers can help. Giving me the name, its origin and meaning will greatly be appreciated. I am not really into feng shui, but a lucky first name which you can relate to feng shui is something I may find interesting too.

Sade, Adrienne,Xander,Noah,Keanu,Jade…. Good luck. :)

www.babynamesworld.com shows origin, gender, meaning etc. Hope this helps.

Every year around the time of the Chinese New Year, many of the stores in Chinatown sell these packets of paper. They are for the most part identical to each other and contain various types of paper. Some packets only contain paper with either a silver metallic square on white paper or one with a red square with gold metallic square on top. Can Anyone please tell me what they are for?

hope this can help

Spring Festival couplets (春联, chūnlián) refer to antithetical couplets written on scrolls which convey people’s wishes for peace, fortune and good luck with concise and matching words.

Before the Spring Festival arrives, Chinese people will paste all their door panels with the couplets, highlighting Chinese calligraphy with black characters on red paper. Chinese have always preferred the color red, as it stands for passion and good fortune. Personally, I think the colors for Spring Festival couplets – red and black – classically beautiful.

The content of the couplets varies from house owners’ wishes for a bright future to good luck for the year. Also, pictures of the god of doors and wealth will be posted on front doors to ward off evil spirits and welcome peace and abundance.

The custom of writing couplets on peach panels started in the Tang dynasty (618-907), and became popular in the Song dynasty (960-1279). The couplets earned their official name from Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor who began the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and had become a form of art by the Qing dynasty (1644-1911).

People used to paste couplets on doorposts, door panels and lintel, as well as on furniture and screen wall. In the courtyard they had "Spring sunshine bright." In the living room they had "Graceful friends around," "Treasures fill the home" and "Wishes for good fortune." Even over the bed they pasted "Bliss of health." Writing the couplets was in fact a kind of competition in folk wisdom and calligraphy attended by every family.

Nowadays, however, few people write their own couplets, with plenty of choices offered in shops.

Male button quail plucking own feathers out?

On December 29, 2012, in Chinese Art, by admin

I have 4 chinese painted tail quails (button quails). One male and 3 females. They are in a big enclosure, and eat very well and a varied diet. The problem is that the male has no feathers on his back and the skin at the top of his neck is yellow. He is definitely plucking the feathers out on his own. The others are definitely female as they are all laying eggs. And he is the boss in the enclosure. Apart from his feathers he seems perfectly happy little bird.
He is definately doing it himself! i watch him doing it. Ill take this advice. thanks

First .your bird may have feather mites?you need to spray him with a solution of T.C.P.Diluted 2 tablespoons to 1 pint warm water or pro rata and the hens.
This will help get rid of any Mites and stop any infection from him pecking him self, you could get Mite spray but I believe my method to be safest.
It is not normal for a Quail to pull out its own feathers, one or more of the hens must be doing this and he is pecking at the irritation caused by them doing it.
Do you supply them with plenty fine Grit do they have a fine Sand bath a tray or some where you can put some fine sand for them to bathe ?
Having bred hundreds of these birds, this is the only reason and solution I can give you,for this happening.

no. You need to go to college and medical school. Plastic surgery (reconstructive surgery) is a specialization that requires a M.D. Or D.O. to practice. So, 4 years undergrad, 4 years Medical school, 2 year residency. gl

Kindly give me the contact numbers and address. I really need it badly.Thank you very much!

A Jade Store WILL NOT BE HARD TO FIND .
ASK THE AIRLINES WHEN YOU LAND.
THEY WILL KNOW.

thanks alot

– go inside your home, preferably inside the living room or where you receive guests, then face the main front door of the house (not the gate of the house), put the metal (should be metal, not ceramic, not jade) dragon statue at the left (most) side of the living room facing the main front door. it is better to place it away from where other people can see it, like under the sofa. the purpose of the dragon is to invite helpful into your home.

– with you still facing your main front door, put a metal chiling (lion headed dragon creature) at the right side (most) of the living room, facing the door. this is to prevent bad people from coming in.

– put a metal tortoise dragon at the back wall (middle part), facing the main front door. this is to support your life/ decisions from backstabbers.
