Featured is the program Shanghai’s Jews: Art, Architecture and Survival which took place March 4, 2010. In it, Nancy Berliner explores the transformation of Shanghai into a multi-cultural, international city, from the middle of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth. Three waves of Jewish immigrants from the Middle East, Russia and Germany discovered in this port city both a hospitable refuge from persecution, and an opportunity to create a new community.

Nancy Berliner is curator of Chinese Art at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, and has curated exhibits of Chinese arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Yale University Art Gallery, among others. She has lectured at Harvard University, Dartmouth College, the Asia Society of Houston, and the China Institute. She has written for the New York Times, Asian Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Asian Art, and American Craft magazines, and is the author of “Yin Yu Tang: The Architecture and Daily Life of a Chinese House”, “Beyond the Screen: Chinese Furniture of the 16th and 17th Century”, and “Chinese Folk Art”.

Co-sponsored by the Asian Art Museum, which is presenting the exhibition Shanghai, through September 15. Also presented in collaboration with the Holocaust Center of Northern California and the American Jewish Committees San Francisco office.

When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. They planned and started the update about one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s obvious that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being de-indexed by google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they add your links to those linking websites without context, the only updates on those websites are the new links, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, any links on them will be affected too.

Examples will be great for explanation. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Chain Hooks, it was old way of link building all the way, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, finally the rank improved a lot, this was the case until google made the change. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, not too many plain links have been built, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? In fact the only thing matters here is content, so if you create great content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, take a look at this blog, sue havens toys , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, I guess you believe this site won’t be doing too well, in reality this site is doing pretty well for more than a few search terms. As far as SEO concerned, quality article marketing is much better than plain link building. If you can build a group of your own blogs, for instance http://www.mfrexpress.com/binder-chain-grade-70-c-2_9_113.html, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, promote your business with the content, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, long term strategy is required to improve anything of significance, i.e., selling online or improve your search rankings, let’s keep building and maintaining our blogs until end of the day. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, I believe you should see for yourself, like this http://www.mfrexpress.com/towing-hitch-ball-c-24_76.html , good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

We’re not finished yet, please remeber, we have hot social media now, no one can afford to not using them. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, you should choose to post a tweet for every new post, it’s real easy and useful, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.
